Chief Officer Programs: Gain-Share Projects

Chief Officer Program One: Strategic Sourcing by Gain-Share

This program is uniquely suited to meet today’s economic imperatives of the “C” suite—freeing up working capital right now. Consider those categories that are going undermanaged, and using up dollars. Time constraints keep many of our clients’ staff from attacking them. Turnover happens --never at a convenient time—companies find they are watching a category manage itself.

DFA Management will take on the work and the risk. At no cost to our client, DFA Management will perform an opportunity assessment by analyzing a portfolio of the client’s selected data, using our own spend-analytics software, our broad and deep market intelligence, and return results quickly.

We progress through our normal rigorous methodology, structured approach, and thoroughness, alongside our client, the same project methodology and service that we provide during fee-based consulting projects. (For further detail, please see Consulting Projects section).

At the conclusion, our compensation is a portion of the actual savings as measured against an agreed-upon baseline.

If there are no savings captured, our client pays nothing, but has still gained the benefit of market intelligence, data analysis, and the valuable knowledge of where they are in the marketplace.

Chief Officer Program Two: Audit/Contract Compliance by Gain-Share

One of the key challenges of managing cost reduction is ensuring that the instituted program is delivering the expected results. All organizations share similar challenges: maverick buying, erroneous invoice approval, supplier overbilling, and confusion arising from disparate IT systems, new or untrained personnel.

DFA Management assures that our client’s cost reduction efforts are being implemented according to contract. At no capital risk to our client, DFA Management performs full contract compliance audits, reviewing the full range of relevant documents to uncover monies due to our client.

DFA Management receives as compensation a percentage of the identified refunds due.

What We Need for Mutual Success

Under the Chief Officer Programs, as well as for all consulting projects, we look for the “C” to be the project champion from end to end. Why? Because, we know from experience, that only with the endorsement and power of the “C” will the project be successful.
